Theoni Katopodi

Theoni (Tania) Katopodi is a Senior Principal Scientist specializing in Translational Oncology at Sygnature Discovery since October 2021, where responsibilities include heading ex vivo capabilities within the department. Prior experience includes serving as a Product Development Scientist at Instil Bio, leading in vivo model establishment for new product IND submissions and TIL growth protocols. As a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at The University of Manchester, Theoni focused on gene interactions in Rheumatoid Arthritis using advanced techniques. Other notable roles include Research Associate positions at the University of Liverpool and University of Manchester, as well as laboratory management and research roles at multiple institutions. Theoni holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from The University of Manchester, along with an MSc in Medical Genetics from Brunel University and a BSc in Molecular Genetics from the University of Sussex.
