Lucas De Ponte

Mr. Lucas de Ponte has been Director of Legal Department at TSS Europe B.V. since January 2021. Since October 2021, he has also served as a Member of the Management Board of Forsikringens Data Center A/S, based in Ballerup, Denmark. From 2018 to 2020, he served as Senior Legal Counsel M&A at Körber AG (a global technology group headquartered in Hamburg) on corporate/M&A transactions and general commercial matters. From 2015 to 2016, at SEAT, S.A. and Volkswagen-Audi España, S.A., subsidiaries of Volkswagen AG, he was responsible for crisis management, litigation, civil and administrative matters. At the same time, as an associate at Cuatrecasas (a Spanish law firm), he advised companies in the DACH region on M&A transactions, financing and restructuring. From 2013 to 2014, he served as a lawyer at Gleiss Lutz (a German law firm) in M&A transactions and corporate matters. From 2011 to 2013, he completed his legal training at the Higher Regional Court of Berlin, with stages at the public prosecutor’s office, the German Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt), Linklaters LLP and Cuatrecasas. In 2011, he completed a legal internship at K&L Gates LLP (an American law firm).

Mr. Lucas de Ponte graduated in 2010 from the University of Trier (Legal studies), Germany, with a specialization in corporate law. In 2013, he was admitted to the profession after completing two years of legal training (Practical training) at the Higher Regional Court of Berlin. In 2015, he was admitted to the legal profession after taking the state exam at the Ministry of Justice in Madrid, Spain. In 2022, he defended with distinction his dissertation on corporate restructuring and bankruptcy under the laws of Germany, Spain and the European Union, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Christoph G. Paulus, LLM (Berkeley) at Alexander von Humboldt University of Berlin.
