Andrew Morcos

Andrew Morcos has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Andrew currently serves as the Co-Founder & COO at Sylndr since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Uber, where they held several senior roles, including Senior Regional Community Operations Manager for MENA from February 2020 to November 2022, Rider Experience Strategy & Operations Manager for MENA from June 2019 to February 2020, and Community Operations Manager - Data Analytics & Insights for MEA from December 2017 to June 2019.

Before joining Uber, Morcos worked at Dell EMC from July 2013 to December 2017. Andrew held positions such as Professional Services Manager from July 2015 to December 2017, Discipline Lead, Advanced Software Division from August 2015 to February 2017, Solution Architect II from July 2014 to July 2015, and Delivery Specialist I from April 2013 to July 2015.

Andrew also gained experience as a Geophysical Researcher at CGGVeritas from May 2012 to April 2013 and from August 2012 to February 2013.

In addition, Morcos worked at the German University in Cairo as a Lecturer/Research Assistant from September 2009 to June 2012 and as an Under-grad Research Assistant from November 2009 to December 2009.

Andrew started their career with internships at German University in Cairo, Mobinil, and Vodafone Egypt in 2007 and 2006 respectively.

From 2009 to 2011, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Communications at The German University in Cairo.

Prior to that, from 2004 to 2009, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Engineering - Telecommunications from the same institution, The German University in Cairo.

In 2008, they worked on their Bachelor Thesis in Information Engineering & Technology (Communications) at the University of Stuttgart for a year.

Their high school education took place from 1991 to 2004 at the College de la Sainte Famille (Jesuite), where their field of study was mathematics.
