VP of Research and Product Development at Symbiome

Juliana Durack has a diverse work experience in the field of microbiology and research. Juliana currently holds the position of VP of Research and Product Development at Symbiome since August 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Microbiology at Symbiome from July 2019 to August 2020.

Before joining Symbiome, Juliana worked at the University of California, San Francisco as a Clinical Research Scientist from July 2017 to July 2019. Juliana also held the role of Postdoctoral Scholar at the university from July 2013 to June 2017.

Juliana's previous experience includes working as a Postdoctoral Scholar at UC Berkeley from January 2012 to June 2013. Juliana was also a Lecturer in Medical Microbiology at the University of Tasmania from December 2010 to January 2012.

Juliana'swork experience began in 2004 when they worked as a Medical Scientist in Microbiology at Royal Hobart Hospital, a position they held until 2010. In the same year, they also worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in Histology at HOBART PATHOLOGY from 2004 to 2005.

Juliana's career started in 2003 as a Medical Laboratory Technician at Launceston Pathology, where they worked until 2004.

Juliana Durack began their education journey in 2000 at the University of Tasmania, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree (Hons) in Biomedical Science. Juliana successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2004. Juliana then went on to pursue further education at the same university. From 2005 to 2010, they dedicated herself to obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Microbial Physiology and Food Safety. Juliana'seducational background focuses on biomedical science and, subsequently, specializes in microbial physiology and food safety.
