Aashish Khadka

Aashish Khadka is currently working as an Advanced Robotics Engineer at Symbotic, where they are responsible for designing and implementing test frameworks for a material handling mobile robot. Aashish also conducts system-level debug of hardware/software components using Python in a Linux environment.

Prior to their current role, Aashish worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University at Buffalo in 2020. During this time, they collaborated with Dr. Jobaidur Khan on a project focused on analyzing and improving airflow in car radiators using computational testing.

In 2019, Aashish had two different positions. Aashish worked as a Math Tutor at Thomas J. Edwards Undergraduate Learning Center at the University at Buffalo, where they assisted students in understanding and utilizing basic math concepts, as well as geometry, algebra, trigonometry, and calculus. Aashish also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the CRASH Lab under Dr. Javid Bayandor, where they conducted research on developing a unique system for different kinematics and collision involving unmanned aircraft systems. Aashish also designed and developed a bio-inspired robotic fish to minimize inertial recoil in fish swimming.

Before their time at the University at Buffalo, Aashish worked as a Math and Physics Tutor at Erie Community College. In this role, they provided individual and group tutoring on various math concepts, calculus, and differential equations, and planned and executed lessons based on textbooks.

Aashish Khadka earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University at Buffalo, where they studied from 2016 to 2020.
