Akshay Jain

Akshay Jain has a range of experience in the field of robotics and technology. Akshay started their career as an intern at Omnipresent Robot Tech in 2012. Akshay then worked as a research scholar at Carnegie Mellon University in 2011 and at ETH, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich in 2010.

In 2013, Akshay joined 5D Robotics as a Senior Robotics Engineer and later became a Tech Lead and Engineering Manager for Robotics Software Development. From 2018 to 2022, they worked at Humatics, first as a Tech Lead and Engineering Manager for Localization and Navigation Software and later as the Director of Localization Technology.

In 2022, Akshay joined Motional as a Principal Team Lead/Senior Manager, responsible for Platform Software Systems. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Manager of Mobile Robot Controls at Symbotic, starting in 2023.

Overall, Akshay has progressively advanced their expertise and responsibilities within the robotics industry, demonstrating strong leadership skills and a commitment to innovation.

Akshay Jain completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, from 2008 to 2012. Akshay then pursued a Master's degree in Robotics & System Development at Carnegie Mellon University from 2012 to 2013. In May 2019, they obtained a certification called Credential Of Readiness (CORe) from Harvard Business School Online.
