Senior Industrial Controls Engineer at Symbotic

Connor Garvey has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies. In 2016, they worked as an Electronic Flight Controls Intern at Sikorsky, where they provided support for the UH-60M Blackhawk Helicopter Platform and successfully restructured fault insertion models for software testing. The following year, they returned to Sikorsky as a Senior Electronic Flight Controls Intern, updating flight controls interface documentation and participating in peer review processes. In 2018, they joined BAE Systems, Inc. as an Electrical Engineer and took on various roles, including Systems Verification & Validation and Digital & RF Hardware. Connor managed regression testing for an aircraft electronic defense system, developed automated test cases, and eliminated manual test results organization through Excel and VBA. In 2021, they joined Symbotic as an Advanced Industrial Controls SQA Engineer, where they integrated testing into the industrial controls software environment for a warehouse automation system and built a Jenkins pipeline for CI/CD development.

Connor Garvey completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, where they studied from 2014 to 2018. In 2016, they also enrolled in a program at UNSW to further their knowledge in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
