Automation General Manager at Symbotic

Daniel Vazquez has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as the Automation General Manager at Symbotic. In this position, they oversee an automated warehouse facility, leads a team, and focuses on system uptime and continuous improvement.

Prior to joining Symbotic, Daniel served in various roles in the US Army. Daniel worked as an Executive Officer, where they were second-in-command of a 263-person Headquarters Battery. Daniel also served as a Platoon Leader, leading and training a 41-person platoon. Additionally, they worked as a Fire Direction Officer, leading a team in calculating and directing firing of artillery rounds. Daniel served as a Fire Support Officer in South Korea, leading a team in artillery fire support operations. Before entering the active duty, Daniel attended The Basic Office Learning Course Field Artillery (BOLC) as a student and platoon leader. Daniel also worked as a Gold Bar Recruiter, helping high school seniors explore opportunities in the army and recruiting students for the UNCC ROTC unit.

Outside of the military, Daniel worked as a Land Guide at the U.S. National Whitewater Center during the summers of 2018 and 2016. In this role, they ensured the safety of zipliners and guided them through the ziplining experience. Furthermore, they gained construction experience as an apprentice at Wiederholt Construction, where they learned various skills related to demolition and woodworking.

Overall, Daniel Vazquez has demonstrated strong leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills throughout their work experience in both military and civilian settings.

Daniel Vazquez earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Citadel, where they attended from 2014 to 2018. Prior to their enrolment in The Citadel, they completed their high school education at Mallard Creek High School, where they obtained their High School Diploma from 2010 to 2014.
