Eric Wemhoff

Eric Wemhoff serves as the Principal Robotic Controls Engineer at Symbotic, having transitioned to this role in 2024. Previously, Wemhoff led the Planning and Controls software team at Magna International, focusing on Advanced Driver Assist System features, including trained parking and autopark functions. Prior experience includes a position as Senior Motion Planning Engineer at GPR, where algorithm and software development for self-driving vehicles occurred, and a lengthy tenure at Scientific Systems Company, Inc., as a Senior Research Engineer, working on physics-based modeling and algorithm development. Early career experience includes roles at BAE Systems and Kensington Labs, where Wemhoff contributed to data fusion, simulation applications, and control systems for robotics. Wemhoff holds a PhD in Control Systems, Estimation, and Dynamics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS in Engineering and Applied Science from Caltech.
