Jorge A. Díaz Barreto's work experience includes roles as a Robotics Software Test Engineer at Symbotic, an Automation Engineering Intern at Veo Robotics, Inc., a Project Engineer at Plastics Technical Solutions Corp., and a Field Inspector at CMA Architects & Engineers LLC.

At Symbotic, Jorge parsed and analyzed SymBot logs while using machine learning for mode separation. Jorge A. updated and stabilized regression scripts and wrote custom Python scripts for testing new features.

As an Automation Engineering Intern at Veo Robotics, Jorge learned to set up a development environment in Linux and used GitHub for version control. Jorge A. also contributed to the structure and naming convention of PLC code version control tools.

At Plastics Technical Solutions Corp., Jorge served as a Project Engineer and programmed robotic cells for production. Jorge A. learned Allen Bradley PLC programming and programmed Fanuc SCARA robots for pick and place applications.

As a Field Inspector at CMA Architects & Engineers LLC, Jorge identified construction discrepancies during inspections and prepared house repair estimation reports for approval.

Jorge A. Díaz Barreto pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez between the years 2014 and 2019. Following their undergraduate studies, they went on to pursue a Master's degree in Robotics Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute between 2020 and 2022.
