Nir Swenson

Senior Robotics Test Engineer at Symbotic

Nir Swenson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. They started their career as an Apprentice at The Raymond Corporation, where they gained knowledge in engineering and created standard work documents. They then interned at Binghamton University for eight weeks before moving on to work as the Head of Ropes at Camp Walden.

Later, Nir joined Syracuse University as a Residential Security Aid, providing security to dormitories at night. They also served as a Lead Facilitator and Teaching Assistant during their time at the university.

In 2013, Nir worked as a QA Engineer at Taxware, focusing on ensuring the quality of products and services. They applied software testing practices and procedures and helped release new features through scripting code using Java.

From 2014 to 2019, Nir worked at BD, starting as a Contract Mechanical Engineer and progressing to roles such as Mechanical Engineer I and II. They were responsible for designing and developing test methods, writing test procedures, and participating in test method validation. They also played a vital role in the mechanical design of disposable and durable system items.

Most recently, Nir joined Symbotic in 2019 as an Advanced Test Engineer - Mechanical before transitioning to the role of Senior Robotics Test Engineer in January 2022.

Nir Swenson completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Syracuse University. Nir attended Syracuse University from 2009 to 2013. Later, they pursued further education and obtained a Master's Degree in Engineering with a concentration in Reliability from the University of Arkansas. Nir attended the University of Arkansas from 2016 to 2017. Additionally, Nir Swenson has a certification in Design for Six Sigma from BD, although the exact date of obtaining the certification is unknown.
