Advanced Software Engineer at Symbotic

Nishant Shah's work experience includes various roles in different companies. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Lecturer at Bhailalbhai and Bhikhabhai Institute of Technology, where they taught subjects like Microcontroller and Advanced Manufacturing Systems. Nishant also assisted professors in setting up equipment and carrying out experiments. In 2018, they worked as an Algorithm Intern at Philips, where they worked on wearable biosensors and implemented MATLAB scripts to analyze data. Nishant also used simulators to collect data. In the same year, they also worked as a Graduate Tutor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. In 2019, they joined Humatics as a Robotics Software Intern and later became a Robotics Software Engineer. Nishant worked on data APIs, analyzed IMUs using statistical methods, and evaluated localization performance. Nishant also developed tools for field deployment engineers. In the same year, they also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Since 2020, they have been working at Symbotic as an Advanced Software Engineer, focusing on microservices for robots and implementing production level code, particularly in relation to RFID readers.

Nishant Shah pursued their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechatronics at G H Patel College of Engineering & Technology from 2012 to 2016. Following this, they went on to complete their Master of Science degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 2017 to 2019.
