Luc van Hijfte

Luc Van HIJFTE is currently the President of EFMC - European Federation for Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology. With a background in medicinal chemistry, Luc has held various senior positions in companies like Symeres and Phytodia. Throughout their career, Luc has also worked at companies like Janssen Pharmaceutica and sanofi-aventis in roles such as Sr Director and Head of the Chemistry Department. Luc's extensive experience in drug discovery and medicinal chemistry is highlighted by their Ph.D. in Chemistry from Ghent University and post-doctoral studies in Organic Chemistry from UC Santa Barbara.
