Elliot Wargo

Elliot Wargo has a diverse work experience in the field of analytics engineering and actuarial work. Elliot started their career at Symetra in 2011 and has held various roles since then. At Symetra, they have led a team of analytics engineers, developed and maintained database projects, and created CI/CD pipelines. Elliot has also worked as an actuarial lead, where they implemented a new policy administration system and built an option valuation model. In addition, Elliot has experience in pricing and setting rates for annuities, maintaining large blocks of business, and analyzing financial results. Prior to joining Symetra, they worked as a graduate teaching assistant and math fellow at Western Washington University.

Elliot Wargo holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mathematics from Western Washington University, which was completed between 2009 and 2011. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics from the same university from 2005 to 2009. Additionally, Elliot also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Music from Western Washington University between 2006 and 2009.

In terms of certifications, Elliot Wargo obtained the designation of Associate of the Society of Actuaries in July 2015. They also hold the certifications of Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst and Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, obtained in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
