Jared Thompson

Jared Thompson has extensive experience in software development, starting as an Event Staff member at Chateau Ste Michelle in 2008. Jared then gained experience as a Job Shadow for Cougar Manager Group in 2011, where they followed a software developer and worked with C# and databases. Jared further developed their skills as an Undergraduate Researcher at Washington State University in 2014, leading a team in developing unmanned aerial vehicles and utilizing software and hardware technologies. Jared then worked as a Software Engineer at Axia Home Loans from 2015 to 2019. Following that, they joined TEKsystems as a Software Engineer in 2019, before being promoted to Sr. Software Developer at Symetra in the same year. Currently, Jared holds the position of Lead Developer at Symetra, starting in December 2022.

Jared Thompson obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science and a Minor in Mathematics from Washington State University from 2010 to 2014. Jared also holds additional certifications from Amazon Web Services in various roles such as AWS Certified Developer - Associate (DVA), AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate (SOA), and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA) obtained in 2017.
