Abe Brahmachari, AIA

Abe Brahmachari, AIA has over 30 years of experience in architecture and project management. Abe is currently working as an Associate and Government Project Manager at SMMA. Prior to this, they held the role of Government Project Manager at SMMA from February 2021 to June 2022.

Abe also has experience working at Massachusetts Port Authority as a Project Manager from 2015 to 2021. During their time there, they led a successful Chapter 149A CM@Risk project for a new UPS Hub Building at Logan International Airport. Abe also led the completion of a post-security Aviation Concourse project, which was LEED Gold certified.

Before that, they worked as a Senior Project Manager at The Architectural Team from 2010 to 2015. Notable projects they managed during this time include the Old Colony project, a LEED Platinum certified project with 285 housing units and a community center.

Abe Brahmachari started their career as a Junior Architect at Mukul Mitra & Associates in 1992 and has held various roles at different companies, including Project Architect at TRO Jung|Brannen, Architect at Dimella Shaffer Associates, Inc., and Project Manager at The Architectural Team. Abe also gained experience as an Intern Planner at Providence Housing Authority and Housing Opportunities Corporation.

Abe Brahmachari, AIA, received their Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur from 1987 to 1992. Abe pursued further education at the University of Rhode Island from 1993 to 1995, where they obtained a Master's degree in City Planning with a major in Urban Design. In 2010, Abe obtained additional certifications, including a license as an architect from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, a certification from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), and membership in The American Institute of Architects (AIA).
