Steven Szramiak has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Steven started in 1989 as an Intern Architect at Drummey Rosane Anderson architects, where they worked on various building types including schools and corporate office spaces.
In 1991, Steven became a Project Manager at TBC/ Mellon Bank, where they continued to manage projects until 1997. During this time, they gained experience in overseeing the design and build-out of corporate office spaces, data centers, computer training centers, and video conferencing facilities.
Afterward, Steven joined BNY Mellon as a Design Manager, responsible for designing and building out corporate office spaces, data centers, and video conferencing facilities. Steven also managed a 4-person Design Department.
In 1997, Steven became a Senior Project Manager at Nortel Networks, leading the design and build-out of corporate office spaces, executive briefing centers, and lab environments.
In 2001, they joined Helen-Karl Architects, Inc. (HKA) as an Associate - Job Captain/ Project Architect. Here, they participated in all project phases, including schematic design, construction documentation, and construction administration. Steven also prepared contract documents, conducted product research, coordinated with consultants, and observed construction.
Since 2003, Steven has been a Senior Associate - Project Archiect/Project Manager at Symmes Maini & McKee Associates (SMMA), managing relationships with various corporations including CVS Health, Santander, TD Bank, and more. Steven has been responsible for budget proposals, programming development, construction documentation, construction administration, consultant coordination, and client relationship management.
Throughout their career, Steven has gained experience in various sectors, including corporate commercial, institutional, residential, and public housing projects.
Steven Szramiak began their education in 1984 at Arizona State University, where they pursued core studies in architecture. Steven completed their studies at Arizona State University in 1986. In the same year, they also attended NHTI and obtained an Associates Degree in Architectural Engineering Technology. After completing their degree at NHTI, Steven went on to enroll at Boston Architectural College in 1990. Steven studied architecture at Boston Architectural College for eight years and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree in 1998.
