Oz McGuire has a diverse work experience in the music industry. They started their career as the Co-Founder and Manager of Afrolicious in 2007. In 2008, they worked as the Marketing and Creative Services Manager at Six Degrees Records, where they managed the development and launch of music assets. From 2011 to 2012, Oz worked as Outreach and Business Development at Press Junkie PR. In 2014, they joined Ingrooves Music Group as the Label Manager, responsible for managing label and retail accounts. They later became the Manager of Business and Label Development, where they marketed indie and artist labels and worked on P&Ls for new deals. Oz's last role at Ingrooves was Director of Label and Artist Partnerships, where they worked closely with various teams to assess projections and execute release strategies. Currently, Oz is the VP of A&R and Business Development at Symphonic Distribution since 2022.
Oz McGuire has an extensive education history in the field of visual arts and technology. In 1996, they attended the University of Kansas where they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. During their time at the university, Oz focused on various subjects including painting, photography, video, and art history. In 1999, they had the opportunity to study at Staffordshire University, where they further explored fine arts, art history, and literary criticism. Oz's education continued as they pursued a Master of Fine Arts degree in Visual Arts and Technology, which they embarked on in 2007 and was still ongoing as of 2008.
