Aleksey Zaitsev

Lead DevOps Engineer at Symplast

Aleksey Zaitsev has a diverse work experience. Aleksey started their career in 2014 as a Network and System Engineer at Banking and Financial Network, where they were responsible for networking problems troubleshooting, configuration of production servers, and network devices. Aleksey also administered Windows and Linux servers, and configured and supported private and hybrid cloud infrastructure. In 2016, they joined IBA Institute as a Course Instructor and Oxagile as a DevOps Engineer, where they were responsible for organization and support of continuous integration and continuous delivery. Aleksey also administered Linux/Windows Server servers, GitLab, Jenkins, Sonarqube, Artifactory/Nexus, and local appstore. In 2018, they joined Symplast as a Lead DevOps Engineer, where they were responsible for recruiting and mentoring DevOps team members, developing infrastructure architecture and CI/CD process with HIPAA compliance, and designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines across the organization. Aleksey also served as a Senior DevOps Engineer, where they were responsible for development and implementation of CI/CD processes from scratch and refactoring of the entire infrastructure, reducing the cost by 3.5 times.

Aleksey Zaitsev attended Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics from 2011 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Networks of Telecommunications. In 2016, they also attended IT Academy to learn Python Automation. In 2016, they returned to Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, where they earned a Master of Engineering in Infocommunication Systems and Networks in 2018. Aleksey also holds certifications in CCNA Routing and Switching and CCNA Security.
