Maurice Iwunze

Maurice Iwunze has a diverse work experience in multiple industries and roles. Maurice is currently the CEO/Co-Founder of SympliFi, a position they have held since July 2019. Prior to that, Maurice worked at Groupe Baobab as the Head of M&A and Fintech Investments from September 2015 to April 2019. During this time, they were responsible for investment initiatives in financial services and fintech companies across Sub-Saharan Africa. Maurice also served as a Non Executive Director at Microcred Zimbabwe in 2019.

Before their time at Groupe Baobab and Microcred Zimbabwe, Maurice worked as a Vice President at Civitas Partners from 2013 to 2015. Maurice gained valuable experience in the financial sector through their role as an Associate at J.P. Morgan Investment Banking from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, Maurice held a summer position as an Investment Banking Summer Associate at Citi in 2007.

Earlier in their career, Maurice worked as a Senior Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton from 2004 to 2007. Maurice began their career as an Intelligence Officer at the Defense Intelligence Agency from 2003 to 2004.
