Angel J. Mena

Angel J. Mena, MD has a diverse work experience. Currently, they serve as the Chief Medical Officer at symplr, starting in 2022. Prior to this role, they held multiple positions at TriHealth, including Program Director, Associate Program Director, Hospitalist, Faculty Physician, and Primary care physician, starting in 2014. From 2019 to 2022, they worked at Halo Health, part of symplr, where they served as the Chief Clinical Officer and later as the Chief Medical Officer. In these roles, they provided strategic clinical direction, collaborated with healthcare professionals and technology experts, and focused on improving communication in healthcare and enhancing patient care.

Angel J. Mena, MD completed their education at the Universidad Iberoamericana, where they earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from 2001 to 2005. Afterward, they pursued further training in Internal Medicine at the Good Samaritan Hospital TriHealth from 2010 to 2014 as part of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained Clinical Research Conduct from the CITI Program in 2022 and GCARHC-AAFP-TriHealth from the same institution in 2023. Angel J. is also certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from both ECFMG and Universidad Iberoamericana.
