Scott Drake

Scott Drake has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Scott is currently employed at Symtrain as the Chief Product & Technology Officer and has been with the company since 2018. Prior to their role at Symtrain, Scott worked as the Founder, Product & Tech Advisor and Leader. In 2020, they joined Thasos as the Chief Technology Officer until 2022.

Scott also has experience working in the education sector. Scott served as a Rutgers Design Thinking Advisory Board Member for the Rutgers University Design Thinking Certificate Program from 2018 to 2020.

Before working at Symtrain and Thasos, Scott held executive positions at NBCUniversal Media, LLC and CNBC. At NBCUniversal, they served as the CTO/SVP Technology for the NBC News Group from 2013 to 2019. Scott played an instrumental role in transforming the NBC news organization to be agile and prepared for the future across all platforms. Scott was also responsible for developing and delivering real-time data services for the 2018 Midterm US Elections.

During their time at CNBC, Scott held several positions including CTO/CIO SVP CNBC Digital Products & Technology and SVP, CIO Chief Information Officer CNBC & NBC News. Scott was responsible for setting the strategy and developing multi-platform products that enabled CNBC to provide real-time financial market news and information. Scott also reorganized the CNBC & NBC News IT divisions into one consolidated team focused on delivering enterprise-wide systems and solutions.

Prior to their roles at NBCUniversal and CNBC, Scott worked at Bloomberg L.P. as the General Manager of Bloomberg.com and a Product/Technology Manager. Scott also served as a Quantitative Analyst at Bloomberg, where they created various stock indices and developed equity derivative applications.

Scott's early career includes a role as a Quantitative Analyst at Salomon Brothers Inc, where they developed tools for pricing portfolios and Equity Index Futures.

Scott Drake attended Rutgers University from 1983 to 1987. Scott earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Rutgers College of Engineering with a concentration in Finance.
