Andy Hull

Andy Hull has a diverse work experience, starting with their most recent role as a Director of Engineering at Synack, Inc. Since joining in March 2023, they have held various positions including Senior Manager, Engineering, Senior Staff Software Engineer, Staff Software Engineer, and Lead Software Engineer.

Prior to their time at Synack, Inc., Andy worked at Sungevity, where they served as Principal Software Engineer, Director of Platform Engineering, and Software Architect. Andy played a key role in introducing Docker and implementing microservices architecture for the company's platform.

Before Sungevity, Andy was a Founding Software Engineer at Pree Media, Inc. and a Senior Software Engineer at CyDesign Labs, Inc. At American Solar Direct, they worked as a Software Developer and contributed to the development of a business-critical pricing engine.

Andy's earlier experiences include roles as a Senior Software Engineer/Team Lead at SunRun, Inc., Senior Software Engineer (Contract) at Gabrick Weiss Group, and Senior Software Engineer at Liquid Digital Media. Andy also worked as a Java Developer (Contract) at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and as a Software Engineer (Contractor) at RHI.

Throughout their career, Andy has demonstrated expertise in various technologies such as Docker, AWS, Scala, Akka, Angular.js, Java, Play!, MongoDB, Backbone.js, HTML5, and more.

Andy Hull obtained a BTEC National Diploma in Computing from Bournemouth & Poole College of Further Education from 1991 to 1993. Following this, they pursued an HNC in Computing from Bournemouth University from 1998 to 2000, and later, an HND in Computing from the same institution from 2000 to 2001.
