Marcus Teo

Senior Vice President, Zimbra Sales and Marketing at Synacor

Marcus Teo has had a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various leadership and sales roles. Marcus began their career at CrimsonLogic Pte Ltd as a Systems Analyst, where they worked for three years. Marcus then joined NCS Pte. Ltd. as a Consultant for two years before transitioning to Avant Werx Pte. Ltd. as a Technical Manager for a brief period. Subsequently, Teo worked as a Senior Technical Consultant at Interwoven and later moved on to EMC as a Presales & Technical Alliance Lead. Marcus then joined IBM as an Enterprise Content Management Channels Sales Leader for one year before joining VMware as a Territory Manager. Teo's next role was at Zimbra (Acquired by Synacor) as a Regional Director for Asia Pacific excluding Japan (APxJ), and they were later promoted to the position of Vice President and General Manager for the same region. Currently, Teo holds the position of Senior Vice President of Zimbra Sales and Marketing at Synacor, where they provide strategic leadership and direction to achieve corporate revenue goals.

Marcus Teo attended Victoria School from 1989 to 1992 for their secondary education. From 1993 to 1994, they studied at Catholic Junior College and obtained a GCE Advanced Level Certificate in Science. Continuing their education, Marcus attended Nanyang Technological University Singapore from 1997 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering. Finally, from 2000 to 2006, they studied at the University of Leicester and earned a Master of Business Administration (Information Management) with a focus on Business Administration and Information Management.
