Jamie French

Jamie French has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Jamie began their career in 2000 as an IT Consultant for Suffolk County Council, where they worked to improve the reliability of the Novell Netware 5 NDPS environment. In the same year, they were hired as a Network Systems Engineer for Gameplay, where they designed and implemented a Novell Netware 5.1 network throughout the UK and Europe. From 2001 to 2002, Jamie worked as a Field Support Engineer for Getronics, providing field support for Barclays customers throughout Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex. From 2002 to 2012, Jamie worked as a QA Engineer for AIM Technology Ltd in Ipswich, where they were involved in all stages of the product life cycle and conducted UI testing with the Microsoft Visual Basic IDE. From 2012 to 2014, Jamie was an AWS Infrastructure Analyst at Haven Power, where they designed, implemented and supported core cloud and on-premise virtualized infrastructure services. From 2014 to 2017, Jamie worked as a Cloud Consultant & Technical Strategist and later as a Cloud Practice Team Leader & Technical Strategist at Claranet. Most recently, from 2021 to 2022, Jamie worked as an AWS Data Engineer at Inawisdom, where they built strong business relations with key strategic enterprise customers, unlocked disparate and siloed data, and provided insight aligned to business imperatives.

Jamie French obtained an MSc in IT from Liverpool John Moores University between 2002 and 2005. In November 2015, Jamie French obtained the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services. In April 2020, Jamie French obtained the Amazon Web Services Big Data Specialty certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). In January 2020, Jamie French obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft. Jamie French also has the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services. Additionally, Jamie French obtained the Matillion Academy | Building a Data Warehouse using Matillion certification from Matillion in October 2021.
