Courtney Lane is a Senior Principal at Synapse Energy Economics, providing expert consulting on utility regulation, distributed energy resources, and electric transportation since November 2019. Previously, Lane held multiple roles at National Grid from July 2013 to November 2019, including Growth Management Lead for New England, overseeing portfolios in energy efficiency and electric vehicles, and leading the development of energy efficiency plans for Rhode Island. Earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Energy Policy Analyst at PennFuture, where strategies were implemented to promote energy efficiency through legislation, and as a Research and Policy Analyst at Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships. Lane earned a BA in Environmental Geography from Colgate University and an MA in Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University.
