Bill Karpovich has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Bill founded CoFactor Ventures in 2020. From 2017 to present, they have been the Chief Executive Officer of Synaptic Advisors, a systems integrator specializing in cloud, AI, and CRM. Bill is also a board member and advisor for Synaptic Advisors. In 2022, they became a board member for both Dispatch and Youreka. Prior to this, they served as the CEO and lead investor for Youreka, a mobile field service innovator, from 2020 to 2022, leading its sale to Dispatch Technologies. Bill served as an advisor and investor for Everywhere Communications from 2017 to present. Additionally, they are a board member of Calvert Hall College High School since 2019. From 2017 to 2020, they were the EVP Corporate Development at Sonatype, driving strategy and corporate development for the DevOps/Application Security industry. Bill played a key leadership role at IBM from 2015 to 2017, serving as the General Manager of IBM's Cloud & Watson Platform and VP of Strategy & Offerings for IBM Cloud. Before that, they co-founded Zenoss, Inc. in 2005 and served as its CEO & President until 2014, growing the company into an emerging market leader in IT monitoring and analytics. Bill was also a board member of the Chesapeake Regional Tech Council from 2009 to 2013.
Bill Karpovich attended Calvert Hall College High School from 1983 to 1987. Bill then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at Duke University from 1987 to 1991. In 1989, they participated in an Abroad Program in Mathematics and Computer Science at UCL, though they did not complete a degree at that institution.
