Kio Kim

Kio Kim is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in image processing and medical imaging. Currently employed at Apple since December 2020 as an Engineer, Kio also serves as an Image Processing Architect at Synaptics Incorporated since September 2015. Kio co-founded a health informatics system development company from July 2014 to August 2015 and worked as a Systems Engineer at Cubuus Inc. from July 2013 to August 2015, focusing on medical imaging methods. Prior roles include Senior Fellow at the University of Washington, where algorithm development for medical image processing was a key focus, and Postdoctoral Fellow at UCSF, contributing similarly. Kio's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Physics from Brown University and a BS in Physics from Seoul National University.
