Peter Chu

Peter Chu is a highly experienced engineer specializing in firmware and software development, with a career spanning over two decades in the technology sector. Currently a Firmware Engineer at Synaptics Incorporated since 2014, Peter has developed firmware for Large Touch Display Integration solutions and force sensing applications. Previously, as a Software Engineer (Contractor) at Sony Computer Entertainment America, Peter contributed to MPEG-2 and VC-1 decoding software for PlayStation 4. Peter's background also includes roles at Intel Corporation, NVIDIA, Sony Electronics, and S3 Incorporated, where significant accomplishments include the development of media kernels, video signal processing software, audio decoding verification, and audio signal processing software design. Peter holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, an MSEE from National Taiwan University, and a BSEE from National Chiao Tung University.
