Sorin Nicolae Toma

Sorin Nicolae Toma is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in digital design and system-on-chip (SoC) development. Currently serving as a Staff Digital Design Engineer at Synaptics Incorporated since November 2020, Toma specializes in top-level SoC design. Previous roles include Senior Design Engineer at DisplayLink, Staff Hardware Design Engineer at ARM focusing on display controller systems, and significant tenure at Imagination Technologies where responsibilities included SoC design and development of SATA, NAND, NOR flash memory controllers, and USB 3.1 interfaces. Toma began a professional career at Honeywell as a Research Scientist specializing in microsensor design, after gaining foundational experience as an Assistant Research Scientist at the National Institute for Research and Development in Microelectronics. Toma holds a Dipl. Ing. degree in Microelectronics from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest.
