Martina De Majo

Co-Founder & Director, R&D at Synapticure

Martina De Majo is the Co-Founder and Director of R&D at Synapticure. Martina was previously a Post Doctoral Scholar at the University of California, San Francisco, where they investigated the role of neuro-inflammation in neurodegenerative disorders using 3D stem cell derived modelling. Martina also has experience as a Teaching Fellow for Biological Foundation of Mental health at the Institute of Psychiatry Psychology and Neuroscience and as a Chemistry, Biology and Italian Tutor at UES London Ltd.

Martina De Majo attended Liceo Scientifico for their high school degree. Martina then went on to study Biotechnology at Sapienza Università di Roma, where they earned their bachelor's degree. After that, they pursued a master's degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at the same school. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Neuroscience from King's College London.

Martina De Majo works with Eric Anderson - VP, Clinical Operations & Care Delivery, Robert Potts - Head of Telemedicine Operations, and Aaron Gitler - VP of Science. Martina De Majo reports to Sandra Abrevaya, Co-Founder & CEO.
