Julio Batista

Julio Batista has a diverse work experience in the field of medical illustration. Julio started their career at Medical Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. in 2010 as a Medical Courier. From 2012 to 2015, they worked at The Evidence Store as a Medical Illustrator, where they created custom medical illustrations for use as courtroom exhibits and organized the company's exhibit database. Since 2015, Julio has been with Synaptik Digital, where they have held various roles, including Medical Illustrator, Senior Medical Illustrator, and Medical Illustration Lead. Julio is currently serving as the Associate Director of Medical Illustration.

Julio Batista attended the Rochester Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Medical Illustration/Medical Illustrator. In January 2020, they obtained the Certified Medical Illustrator (CMI) certification from the Association of Medical Illustrators.
