Paula Dassbach

Paula Dassbach, PhD, is a Senior Manager of Systems and Applied Research at Synchron, where responsibilities include overseeing engineering programs beginning March 2024. Prior experience includes serving as a Principal Systems Engineer at Medtronic from June 2016 to March 2024, focusing on system design, integration, and automated testing for various stimulation therapies. Additional roles at Medtronic included Senior Scientist, emphasizing computational modeling and system testing automation, alongside a Research and Development Internship where physiological brain models were developed. Earlier academic involvement includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota, culminating in a PhD in Applied Mathematics, supported by a Master's degree in the same field and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with minors in Astrophysics and Spanish.
