Don Deasey

Chief Architect at Synchronoss Technologies

Don Deasey has over 30 years of work experience in the technology industry. Don began their career in the United States Navy, serving as a Radioman on the USS Anzio (CG-68) from 1990 to 1994. In this role, they were responsible for various tasks including message traffic management and ensuring the cryptographic equipment was functioning properly.

After their military service, Deasey worked as a Programmer/Analyst at SunGard Public Sector from 1998 to 1999. Here, they were part of a programming team that implemented customer-driven features for managing local governments using Informix 4GL and Informix DB.

Deasey then moved on to Lucent Technologies, where they worked as a Member of Technical Staff One - Software Engineer from 1999 to 2002. Don later joined Agere System Inc as a Senior Software Engineer from 2002 to 2004.

In 2004, Deasey started working at Synchronoss Technologies, where they held various roles throughout their tenure. Don began as a Senior Software Engineer and progressed to Software Architect, IT Architect, DevOps, Principal Architect & Manager, and ultimately Chief Architect. Don has been with Synchronoss Technologies since 2004, with their most recent role as Chief Architect starting in March 2018.

Don Deasey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania from 1995 to 1999. In 2002, they started attending Lehigh University, majoring in Computer Science, but it is unclear when they completed their studies there. Additionally, Don obtained the GIAC Secure Software Programmer-Java (GSSP-JAVA) certification from GIAC in February 2009.
