Alan Rathjen

Alan Rathjen is a highly experienced aviation and finance professional currently serving as the Chief of Training & Evaluator Pilot C-40C in the US Air Force Reserve since October 2013. In this role, Alan plans and executes missions for senior US government officials while instructing over 100 aircrew members. Since April 2018, Alan has also been a Principal at Synchrony Bio, where responsibilities include conducting due diligence, financial analysis, and market sizing, as well as improving administrative processes. Previously, Alan held leadership roles in the United States Air Force, including Chief of Scott Command Post and C-40C Instructor Pilot, where significant contributions were made to communication systems and operational compliance. Alan holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital from Washington University in St. Louis and a BS in Neurobiology and Neurosciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
