Gary Berkheiser's work experience includes a variety of software engineering roles. Gary started their career in 1981 as the President of Ergo Software, Inc, where they provided software services to their clients, including the US Air Force GWEN communications system and the STU-III for the DoD. Gary then worked as a Software Engineer at The Catalyst Corporation, Advanced Communications Systems, and Kulicke and Soffa, where they worked on various projects involving C and C++ programming.

In 1991, Gary joined The Catalyst Corporation again as a Software Engineer, working on control software for a machine that manufactures folding boxes. Gary then worked at Advanced Communications Systems as a Software Engineer, where they were responsible for back-end processing at the Philadelphia home base of the network.

From 1994 to 1995, Gary worked at The Catalyst Corporation, focusing on projects in C and C++, including the TV Guide On-Screen system. Gary then joined Syncro Technology Corp. as a Software Engineer in 1995, where they wrote a software modification document for a cost-reduced version of a high-end oscilloscope and analyzed requirements for an Ethernet signal analysis package.

In 2003, Gary joined L-3 Communications as a Software Engineer, designing and developing software for a Navigation/Communications radio. Gary worked in an FAA-supervised environment, following the RTCA/DO-178B process.

Gary returned to Syncro Technology Corp. in 2005, working as a Software Engineer on projects such as writing a background processor for an intra-vascular ultrasound imaging system (IVUS) and designing GUI screens for instruments. Gary also designed and implemented an embedded robotic subsystem for an immunoassay instrument.

In 2009, Gary joined DISYS as a Software Engineer, providing on-site software engineering services with embedded systems for medical devices, as well as C#.Net based software.

Most recently, Gary has been working at Syncro Technology Corp. since 2012 as a Software Engineer.

Gary Berkheiser attended Bristol Jr-Sr High School from 1967 to 1970, where they pursued a college preparatory curriculum. After high school, they enrolled at Drexel University from 1970 to 1973, studying Electrical Engineering. Following their time at Drexel, Gary attended Bucks County Community College from 1975 to 1981, where they focused on Electronics Technology. In addition to their formal education, Gary obtained the Sun-Certified Java Programmer certification from Sun Microsystems in March 2004.
