Giovanni Galvez has a wealth of experience in the music and engineering education industry. Giovanni began their career in 1996 as a Conversational Interpreter Manager for the Close Up Foundation. In the same year, they also served as a Full Time Missionary and Disaster Relief Volunteer for the Red Cross. In 2000, they became the Digital Media Director for MVI Post Production, as well as an Integrator and Systems Engineer for American Film and Video. In 2005, they began working as a Consultant for Knowlera Media, and in 2007 they became a Technical Developer, Sales Strategist, and Product Manager for CPC Computer Prompting and Captioning. In 2013, they took on the role of Product Manager for Captioning and Subtitling software, Sales Strategist, and Accessibility Expert at Telestream. In 2015, they founded and became the Product Manager of the Community Sound System Festival DMT project. In 2019, they became the VP of Business Development and Strategy at SyncWords. Most recently, in 2022, they took on the role of Director of Music and Engineering Education at AfterShock, helping the education initiative for a community non-profit that provides resources and equipment to local artists and students.
Giovanni Galvez attended Montgomery College from 1993 to 1995, where they earned an Associate of Arts degree in Graphic Design.
