Jenny Freeman

Jenny Freeman has over 10 years of professional experience in accounting and finance. Jenny began their career in 2005 as the Controller for Common Paymaster, where they were responsible for the monthly multimillion-dollar cash management, reconciling all bank accounts with an average of 3,000 checks a month, preparing monthly financial statements, working with outside auditors and preparing all payroll tax reporting including 31 multi-state returns. In 2007, Jenny joined Westgate Resorts as a Tax Manager, where they developed a complex template to assist in preparing the deferred tax calculation and was promoted to Tax Manager within six months of hire. Jenny then moved to Berman Hopkins Wright & LaHam, CPAs and Associates, LLP as an Audit Manager in 2008. In 2009, Jenny became the CFO of the Housing Authority of Brevard County, where they took two Housing Authorities out of eight years of troubled status within two years and had each at high performer status. Jenny also took the audit fieldwork from months down to three days and no adjustment audits and few findings. Later in 2009, they joined JLF, CPA as a Consultant. In 2016, Jenny joined Harris Corporation as an Accountant V, where they identified and corrected over a million dollar a month WIP mapping error related to AP. In 2017, they were hired as an Accounting Manager at Luminar Technologies, where they managed the monthly financial close and prepared consolidated financial statements. In 2019, Jenny joined Carley Corporation as the Director Of Finance and Accounting, where they managed the accounting department for a government contractor. Jenny is currently employed at Synect as a Financial Controller, where they are responsible for account reconciliations, allocations, journal entries, and financial reports for monthly close, cash budget and forecast.

Jenny Freeman has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Old Dominion University with a focus in Accounting and Finance. Jenny also holds certifications from LinkedIn in Corporate Finance: Robust Financial Modeling, Excel: Power Query (Get & Transform), Power BI Top Skills, SAP ERP Essential Training, Accounting Foundations: Leases, and Excel: PivotTables in Depth. Additionally, they are a Certified Public Accountant from Florida.
