Robert Derrington

Robert Derrington has extensive experience in the field of Site Reliability Engineering, currently serving as Team Leader at Synectics Solutions Ltd since July 2007. In this role, Robert oversees a team dedicated to providing support for a SQL Server Based Fraud Prevention system, focusing on investigating production queries, optimizing performance, automating manual tasks, and enhancing system observability. Prior to this, Robert worked as a Database Developer, maintaining and developing new fraud prevention systems, and as a Sira Support Analyst providing technical support and fixing data import issues. Robert began their career at First Choice News and Convenience as a Sales Assistant while studying. Academically, Robert holds a degree in Business Computing with a focus on Business Studies, Information Technology, and Software Development from the University of Staffordshire, completed in 2009.
