Eric Posner

Eric Posner has a diverse work experience in the IT field. Eric started their career as a Lead Administrator and Site Technician at Connectamation in 2000, where they managed network installations and maintenance contracts for various companies. In 2002, they became the Senior Technician and Owner of Rent-A-Tech, operating a computer repair business for small to medium-sized businesses. Eric provided on-site computer repair, configuration, and upgrades, as well as built and maintained web sites.

In 2003, Eric worked as a Field Technician at Getronics, where they were responsible for setting up and maintaining POS systems, back office servers, and peripherals for clients such as Winn Dixe, The Home Depot, Wachovia Financial, and Waldenbooks. In 2004, they joined Monroe County Clerk as an IT Support Manager, acting as the Database Administrator and overseeing a staff of 10 technicians. Eric maintained 250 workstations and several offsite terminals.

From 2004 to 2005, Eric worked at Slim Fast Foods Company as a Desktop Support Tier 2/Jr. Administrator. Eric provided helpdesk and desktop support in a Windows/XP environment for 300 users, managed user requests in a helpdesk system, and acted as the point of contact between IT and users. Eric then joined Bestkiteboarding as a Network Administrator from 2005 to 2010, where they configured SharePoint external web portal, managed SQL Express and MySQL databases, and implemented SEO and Google AdWords campaigns.

In 2010, Eric became a Lead Network Field Engineer at Network Rescue. Eric provided on-site support and managed server support and backup for several medium to large companies. From 2012 to 2017, they worked at Charterschoolsusa as a Network Administrator, where they managed the network infrastructure of 86 Charter schools, 800+ Windows 12R2 servers, 3,000 Cisco wireless access points, and 2,000 HP switches.

Eric then joined Global Response in 2017 as a Senior Network Engineer, supporting the network infrastructure and ending their tenure in February 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Senior System/Network Engineer at Synergistix, Inc. since February 2020.

Eric Posner attended Collins College from 1999 to 2001, where they obtained an AA degree in Computer Networking. In addition, they also attended Al Collins Graphic Design School from 2000 to 2002, earning an associate degree in Occupational Studies with a focus on Personal Computers/Network Technologies.
