Dominic Watson is a seasoned engineer specializing in renewable energy, currently serving as a Senior Renewable Engineer in the Commercial Business Unit at Synergy since February 2014. With a strong focus on developing a pipeline of renewable assets, Dominic provides expert guidance on technical, financial, and contractual aspects, while also supporting the operations of existing assets. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Asset Engineer, where advice was given to operational teams, and Senior Mechanical Engineer, focusing on gas turbines. Prior to Synergy, Dominic worked as a Project Engineer at Rio Tinto and as a Mechanical Engineer at Verve Energy. Dominic's educational background includes a Master of Engineering Science in Power Engineering from the University of Southern Queensland and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Melbourne, along with a Diploma of Finance from Kaplan Professional.
