Gireesh S Babu

Gireesh S Babu is a highly experienced automation engineer with a strong background in integrated control and safety systems, particularly in the oil and gas sector. Currently serving as the Lead Automation Engineer at Synertec since February 2023, Gireesh previously held positions as an ICSS Engineer at Yokogawa UK Ltd, focusing on the design and maintenance of control systems, and as a Senior Systems Engineer at Siemens, where advanced knowledge of PCS7 and a variety of automation products was developed. Gireesh's expertise includes cybersecurity for ICS projects, validated process control solutions, and extensive project experience from site surveys to commissioning in the oil and gas industry. Gireesh holds an MSc in Automation and Control from Newcastle University and a BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Sathyabama Institute of Science & Technology.
