Sherif Seha has an extensive work experience in the field of signal processing and biomedical signal analysis. Sherif is currently employed as a Signal Processing Engineer at Synex Medical since 2022, where they focus on developing signal processing techniques to enhance the quality of NMR spectrum and deep learning techniques for automatic denoising of NMR spectrum.
Prior to their current role, Sherif worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto from August 2021 to May 2022. During this time, they also served as a Teaching Assistant from September 2016 to August 2021, assisting in various courses related to signal and systems, electronics, and microcontrollers. Sherif also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Toronto from September 2016 to August 2021, where their research interests included biometrics using bio-signals, biomedical signal processing, and machine learning. Sherif'swork focused on developing BCI techniques for enhancing evoked potentials within brainwaves and developing deep learning algorithms for automatic feature extraction in EEG biometrics.
Additionally, Sherif has previous experience as a Signal Processing Engineer at Synex Medical from February 2019 to March 2020. Sherif also worked at Assiut University as a Teaching Assistant and Assistant Lecturer from October 2011 to August 2016. During their time at Assiut University, they assisted in teaching various courses related to signal and systems, electronics, and programming. Sherif also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant during this time and developed frameworks for human identity recognition using biomedical signals and proposed feature extraction techniques based on wavelet packet decomposition for signal analysis.
Overall, Sherif Seha's work experience demonstrates their expertise in signal processing, biomedical signal analysis, and machine learning, particularly in the fields of NMR spectrum enhancement, EEG biometrics, and human identity recognition using biomedical signals.
Sherif Seha completed their education chronologically as follows:
From 2006 to 2011, Sherif attended Assiut University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering.
From 2011 to 2015, they pursued their Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering at Assiut University.
Starting from 2016 until 2021, Sherif studied at the University of Toronto, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
