Andreia Soares is a highly experienced scientist with a strong background in immunology and cell biology. Currently serving as the Global Head of Scientific Strategies and Global Head of Cell Biology at Synexa Life Sciences since March 2016, Andreia has also held the position of Principal Scientist for Flow Cytometry and Cell Biology and Lead Scientist. Prior to joining Synexa Life Sciences, Andreia worked at the University of Cape Town from 2002 to 2016, where roles included Junior Research Fellow and Post-doctoral Fellow, focusing on HIV research. Andreia's educational credentials include a PhD in Clinical Science and Immunology, an MSc in Clinical Science and Immunology, and a BSc Honours in Human/Medical Genetics, all obtained from the University of Cape Town, as well as a BSc in Genetics from the University of the Free State.
