Mike Hurley

Mike Hurley's work experience starts with their role as a System Engineer at L3 Technologies in 2018. In this position, they were responsible for system engineering and technical support for development programs, with a focus on space systems. Mike also supported business strategy and business development efforts.

Prior to that, they worked at SYNEXXUS Inc starting in 2013, where they held the position of Chief Engineer & Strategist. In this role, they were responsible for the engineering department, development programs, and technical support for production programs. Mike also supported corporate business strategy and business development efforts.

Before joining SYNEXXUS Inc, Mike Hurley had a long tenure at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory from 1992 to 2012. During this period, they held various roles including Design Engineer, Program Manager, Principal Investigator, and Section Head. Mike worked with a wide range of technologies and organizations, with particular expertise in spacecraft, launch, and ground systems.

Mike Hurley obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from George Mason University from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, which they completed from 1986 to 1992. In addition to their degrees, Mike also holds certifications as a LEED AP in Building Design & Construction from the US Green Building Council, which they obtained in December 2012, and as a Professional Engineer from the Commonwealth of Virginia, which they achieved in February 2000.
