Brent Scherer

Brent Scherer is an experienced professional in quality control and laboratory management, currently serving as the Quality Control Laboratory Manager at Syngenta since July 2012. In this role, Brent oversees the approval process for approximately $2 billion in finished products annually, ensures audit readiness for ISO 9001:2015 certification, and leads a team of chemists and laboratory technicians. Brent's responsibilities include managing a significant budget for consumables and lab maintenance, coordinating extensive lab instrumentation upkeep, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team. Brent's extensive background in quality control is complemented by a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology with minors in Chemistry and Psychology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Previous experience includes positions at Columbia Crest Winery and GreenLeaf Genetics.
