Peter Llewelyn began their work experience in 2006 as a QC Chemist at Clariant, where they later transitioned to a role as a Research Chemist. In 2007, they joined Norgine as a Pharmaceutical Development Analyst, leading a project for a medical device and handling technical documentation. From 2012 to 2022, Peter worked at Cardiff University as a Production Manager for PETIC, overseeing the production of radio-pharmaceuticals and ensuring pharmaceutical and radiation safety. Peter then became the Head of Operations at BioMonde UK in 2022. Currently, Peter is employed as the Head of Toxicology at SYNLAB UK & Ireland.

Peter Llewelyn pursued their education in the field of Chemistry, starting with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from Swansea University from 1999 to 2002. Following this, they obtained a Master of Research (MRes) degree in Clean Chemical Technology from the University of York in 2002-2003. Lastly, they completed their educational journey with a Doctorate (PhD) in Heterogeneous Catalysis from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, spanning the years 2003 to 2006.
