Brendan St. Amant

Brendan serves as Synlogic’s Head of Legal. Prior to joining Synlogic, Brendan led the legal function at Ohana Biosciences. Before arriving at Ohana, Brendan served as senior counsel at Vertex Pharmaceuticals from 2017 to 2019 and provided support to many functions. Prior to Vertex, Brendan was an associate and partner at the law firm of Donnelly, Conroy & Gelhaar in Boston where he focused on commercial controversies and government enforcement. Earlier in his legal career, Brendan clerked for a federal judge and was an associate at the law firm of Goodwin Procter. Brendan received a B.A. in History from Cornell University and a J.D./M.P.P. from Harvard Law School and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He has served on several practice-related bar committees and currently serves on the executive committee on the Board of the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education corporation.
