Alan Benson is a quantitative analyst and R&D engineer currently employed at Synopsys Inc. They completed a PhD in Statistics at University College Dublin, where their research focused on improving methodology for intractable Bayesian models. Prior roles include serving as a quantitative research analyst at Susquehanna International Group and as an actuarial analyst at Aspen Re, where they created real-time statistical models for aviation reinsurance pricing. Alan also holds a First Class Honours Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial and Financial Studies from the same institution.
