Alp Gencer

Alp Gencer is a veteran TCAD engineer with over 30 years of experience in semiconductor processes and devices, specializing in power devices and processes across Si, SiC, and GaN material systems. Currently, Alp works as a Senior Architect at Synopsys, where they tackle complex customer issues and lead cross-functional teams. Previously, Alp held roles as a Senior Corporate Applications Engineer and Applications Engineer at Synopsys and Avant!, where they provided TCAD customer support and training. Alp also completed an internship at Siemens focused on processing III-V lasers and diodes. They hold a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Boston University and are pursuing an MBA at Harvard Business School.
